The Lymphatic System

Lymphatic vessels and lymph nodes form a one-way drainage and transport system that moves and filters fluid from body tissues into the blood circulation.
Its main functions are to:
  • Fight against infection and bacteria
  • Destroy abnormal cells
  • Remove waste products from the cells
  • Produce white blood cells (lymphocytes) to fight infection
One of the reasons MLD is so effective is because it works on the initial lymphatic vessels which are located just beneath the surface of the skin.
